Alan has worked in the industry for over 20 years, spending 15 years employed by JFD, and latterly providing services as a freelance contractor through his own company, AG81 Ltd. During this time, Alan has established himself as a highly-experienced projects and operations specialist, having set-up and managed four of the world’s submarine rescue service contracts, and worked with high-profile clients on the build of more than 10 submersibles ranging from swimmer delivery vehicles to ultra-luxury leisure submersible craft.

As a degree-qualified Electro-Mechanical Engineer, William has designed, manufactured and commissioned several state-of-the-art new submersible designs and provided engineering support and upgrade services to the global submarine community. In 2019, following a 4-year period working as a submarine rescue support engineer for JFD, William established his own company, Northfield Electrical Ltd, providing design consultancy and manufacturing services to the private submersible industry.
